S.E.X. and lots of it!

Well, what else is a knitter to do on her birthday, but enhance her stash?!

yes... yes... YES!
Lots of yarn for future projects in this little lot. The Louisa Harding Kashmir Aran is for Rogue, which is going to be a fairly long term project, but will also defintely be ready for the autumn! Some Noro for a pair of Voodoo wrist warmers for my wee sister. I haven’t used Noro before – the shame! So they’re OTN right now and will hopefully be finished tomorrow to parcel up and send off. The GGH Bali is for a tunic-style jumper in Family Circle Easy Plus-size Knits. Some nice patterns in there, and some less-nice (e.g. the strange thing on the front cover!).

So I’m all stocked up and ready to go, once the Arisaig is finished…

Some FOs

I completed my first ever shawl! The pattern was the Flower Basket Shawl from Fibertrends, the yarn was SWT Oasis – 100% soy silk. Having never knitted with real, boiled worm silk, I can’t say whether it’s indistinguishable from the real thing. but it was slippery and soft and lovely to knit with. So I’m happy.

Also completed my own Odessa, and when I’ve got a nice photo of it without my face in it, I’ll post that too.

So now to finish Arisaig or, as I’m renaming it: Nemesis. I frogged my first attempt at a sleeve and am doing the right front before trying again. I am considering redesigning the sleeves to be three-quarter length, with maybe some ribbing on the cuff to match the body of the cardigan. If it would look good as a sleeveless wrap, I’d do it. Very, very fed up with it now.
