It’s been a strange week here at Gypsy Towers. I’ve been knitting and frogging and knitting and frogging and basically have nothing to show for it. After knitting the body of my raglan sweater in such a short time, the sleeves are surprisingly heavy going. I’ve tried several lace patterns, a cable and even a plain sleeve and nothing works. Right now it’s back to a hem and nothing more.
So I did the only decent thing I could do, when nothing is going right and I can’t face picking up my needles.
I cast on for a sock! A lovely, mindless sock in Opal Rodeo Cotton. Hopefully when it’s finished, I’ll be able to go back to the sleeves with a renewed sense of purpose and determination. Right now, I’m beginning to wish I was knitting a tank top.
Oh, and remember my secret knitting? The truth is now revealed: I designed a scarf for a competition in Simply Knitting and have just discovered that I am a runner up and the pattern will be in the issue available at the end of June! So excited!!

Congratulations!
