Today is the first day back at school for the small people. It’s very quiet. Yesterday passed in a flurry of sewing in nametapes and finding PE bags and now it’s all done and I’m sitting here with a cup of tea, twiddling my thumbs. 
It was an eventful day for smallest person as he’s now in year 3, which means he’s in the Juniors with his big brother and now wants to walk with him to school, rather than be seen with me. 
Next year, the eldest will be going to BIG school. I don’t know where the years have gone. 
So apart from drinking tea, today is being spent having a huge clean of the house after it’s been wrecked over the holidays. And then some knitting will be done.

Good luck with getting the house clean, it took me a week when they all went back to school last month – just in time for them to mess it up again at the weekend.
Just think with all that peace and quiet you can work on all those complicated lace charts again.
Alright! Freedom (oh did I type that?!) It’s nice to get a break and get the house back in shape- I’m sure you missed them just the same. I’m looking forward to seeing what you knit with this time!
Mine are back tomorrow! my eldest will start his final year at *big* school and GCSE’s too – how DID that happen? how quickly the time flies! I thought I’d love it when I stopped the school run after they both moved up, but I do miss it! the playground catchup with other mum’s and the interaction with my sons’ teachers! happy knitting! Sue
