Yes, another hat..! Having the oddments of yarn from the ManU Hat lying around was just too irresistible. 
It only took an afternoon to whip up as well.
The pattern is the same one I usually make for the small people’s winter hats. I decided to knit the Preemie size as, based on the Yarn Standards head circumference chart, the average newborn baby has a 14″ (35.5cm) head circumference and the Preemie size measures 15″. It should also have a bit of stretch in it in case of giant headedness. Not sure where that leaves using the book to make hats for actual tiny babies, though, as they’d surely swim on them. *ponders*
Now it’s back to endless rows of Gull Stitch for the February Lady Sweater. I reckon I’m about two thirds of the way done with the lace now, so it’s just a case of sitting down with a good film and chocolate and a drink to hand and just knitting away for a couple of hours. 
The baby bunny will look like a tiny bumble bee! And she sure will have a lot of hats!
My FLS is sitting in the working pile as the rows are so so long that I can’t do more than a couple of repeats of the gull lace before my hands start hurting. And then there’s still the sleeves to do.
Well, we know the wee one will have a warm head. But aren’t you a bit, um, ahead with the hats?
All the hats are delicious, by the way, especially Dashwood, which is just too elegant.
Of course, it is probably a tad nippy in Merry Olde England in October and she will appreciate not having her little head exposed (assuming she will be virtually bald as my children were).
I love it. It would go perfectly with the little bee vest I made a little while ago, but make your little one look too much like a bee.
She’ll look so cute in that hat!
