Yikes! Maybe they can become a pair of felted slippers for Rose? Thanks for the warning - I have some Mini Mochi and was thinking of casting on a pair of socks soon.

I was going to suggest you shrink the other one and give it to one of the younger Mr. B's until I remembered the stiff as a sock blocker part.

Maybe you could make the one remaining sock into a pair for Rose????

Bummer.

Oh no!! I've only felted one pair of socks, which was from an inexpensive yarn that I have a huge cone of, so after the initial shock, it wasn't a huge disaster. Could it be re-purposed into something small for Rose?

Hmmmm I really hate that 'sick to the stomach feeling' when you realise what's happened :-( I currently have a tank top that I completely felted and ruined hanging around on a radiator staring at me accusingly. I am desperately trying to think of a way to re-purpose it by stitching it up! Maybe you should shrink the other sock and use them for key rings lol

Could you shrink the other one and wear them as slippers? Is there no softness at all to it?

So common are the laundry disasters in our house all wooly things have a special place (i.e. landing windowsill) where they await the machine. I am considering a) buying several more washing baskets, one being a 'special' one for wool or b) knitting absolutely everything in washable sock yarn...;-)
