So, I frogged the mysterious green project because of all the reasons I stated yesterday. I may as well come clean and say it was going to be Coraline using Kool Kotton and then everyone can say “Oh no, Kate, that yarn would never work, you big numpty!”
The Kool Kotton was another eBay bargain because apparently it has been discontinued due to having a rubbish name. But in an amazing spot of luck, James C Brett have released a new DK weight, cotton/acrylic yarn called Cotton On. Fancy that.
I do want to knit Coraline, though, and what I should have done is look on Ravelry first to see the types of yarn being used and which ones looked nicest. So it’s not off the list yet, but I have the Kool Kotton to use first.
Which brings me to the trivial part of today’s post. I have two very similar patterns which would both work with a cotton/acrylic yarn. Which one do I knit? Either Sirdar 9410:

which has bobbles and lots of moss stitch, or Sirdar 9428:

which has leaves and lots of stocking stitch. Let’s have a poll!
Either way, I need to get my skates on if it’s going to be done in time to wear on my holidays. Though I don’t know if Lamour is going to even be dry in time. Stupid weather.

Ohhh, I like them both! Can I have 2 votes??
Bobbles in cotton?!!! No way you’d catch me doing that. Then again I don’t really like knitting bobbles.
Ah, it all makes sense now. I voted for the leaves, it’ll look gorgeous I think!
In this weather? Lace! Definitely lace.
