On Friday I took the plunge and ordered the yarn for my carrot sweater from Deramores. I hadn’t finished Oscar’s socks, but with a quiet weekend in front of me, I fancied a bit of sweater knitting. Clearly the knitting gods had other plans for me, because the yarn did not arrive on Saturday as I’d hoped. So instead I was a virtuous knitter and finished off the socks, which have been soaked and are drying as I type.
Unfortunately, the yarn did not arrive today, either. This is most unusual for Deramores orders because, so far, I’ve always received them the day after they are posted. Their reliability is one of the reasons I choose to order from them, having had far too many experiences of disappearing yarn back in the mists of time. So I’m feeling slightly worried that someone else has my nice green yarn. More importantly, I am twiddling my thumbs. While admittedly I have several hibernating projects, mentally I was all geared up to knit my sweater. This is not good for not being distracted by new shiny things. *toddles off to Ravelry*
