Thank you to all of you who commented on my last post. It truly did mean a lot to me to have a few virtual hugs. And things are getting back to normal, though the insurance claim is taking time to process, we’ve got new locks and chains for the doors and I don’t go to bed each night fearing that we’ll wake up to another burglary.
Now if we could all stop sharing the same nasty cold, I’d feel even better. We finally have the snow that the rest of the country has been suffering/enjoying (delete as applicable) for the past week, so it’s good to be able to lock all the doors, snuggle down on the sofa and feel safe. And knit.
This blog has always been somewhere I felt secure as well. My own little corner of the internet where no one could bother me and I could just share my knitting and the general rubbish that pours out from my brain. It’s easy to forget that there are more people reading at any one time than comment and recently I’ve felt too self-conscious to write anything. But then there are you lovely people who read and comment, or email me because I’ve disappeared, or randomly send me cheering skeins of yarn, and I wouldn’t miss that for the world.
